Applying a suede protectant before wearing your footwear for the first time will help guard the surface. A suede brush can be used to remove dust and restore the nap after each use. Suede and Nubuck finishes should be kept away from large amounts of water due to its porous quality.

"A long time ago I started a new job requiring steel toe boots and I have been wearing these pretty much every day since, whether my job has required a steel toe or not. There was one year where I was on a tight budget and tried out something else but that ended up being a waste, they didn’t last but a few months.
