I WEAR THE SAME OUTFIT EVERYDAY
“I Wear the Same Outfit Every Day” by Shai Datauker, a conceptual and visual artist located in Amsterdam.
In this active research, which is now in its sixth year, Shai takes a stand against the fast fashion and seasonal clothing industries by selecting and wearing a single outfit throughout the entire year.
Feeling disillusioned by the fashion industry and the influence of societal expectations on his well-being, Shai consciously chose to prioritise sustainable, high-quality, and timeless apparel and footwear.
After collaborating with various brands in recent years, Shai reached out to NPS Shoes to propose a partnership with our brand Solovair, and naturally, we eagerly embraced the chance.
Over the past years, he has showcased a range of clothing options, from sneakers honouring his former teacher to a full year in tech gear, and most recently, he wore a formal suit.
Starting in September 2024, he will be trading in his formal attire for a laid-back outfit made from Kurabo Recycle Red Selvage Denim by Japanese brand EDWIN along with a Romain Perez leather belt featuring a ‘PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH’ buckle design.
Complementing this look will be our Solovair Classic Collection Gaucho Crazy Horse Dealer Boots and Gaucho Crazy Horse Tassel Loafers.
