Our Goodyear welted footwear is a little larger than most other brands. We would therefore recommend you either purchase a pair of our cushioned socks with our footwear in your regular size, as they offer about 1/2 a size extra fitting, or you go 1/2 a size smaller than you typically wear.

Applying a suede protectant before wearing your footwear for the first time will help guard the surface. A suede brush can be used to remove dust and restore the nap after each use. Suede and Nubuck finishes should be kept away from large amounts of water due to its porous quality.

"I bought my first pair of air wear boots from the brand most people think of in 1979 whilst still ant school and bought pair after pair. They were my go to shoe and boot and I wore them to gigs, football, the pub. Then I slowly fell out of love with them as the leather got thinner and the soles got softer while the price increased. I was somewhat reticent in buying my first pair of Solivair shoes but they are absolutely superb and take me back to the quality of the airwears I bought nearly 50 years ago. The leather is really good, the stitching spot on and everything about them screams quality. The Gibson shoe is what the 1461 was and should have remained. I will be buying the boots. Can not recommend these enough. Worth every penny. Got some advice from the company to go down a size and I am glad they suggested it as they fit perfectly."

"Nice to support English manufacturing,but that is only warranted if the product is good. These shoes are very well made,far better than anything made in South East Asia. Quality of materials first rate,and construction first rate. The fit.....well what can I say. Every shoe manufacturer has different sizes of the standard size. Eg a size 7 uk is a 6.5 uk in another manufacturers product etc. So I trusted the site guidance,measured my feet,added 5mm as directed and my size came up different from "normal". But,they were absolutely "bob-on" when I put them on. So my advice is,follow the guidance,it really does help. The shoes themselves fir really well,and leather is sooo comfortable out of the box.
