Our Goodyear welted footwear is a little larger than most other brands. We would therefore recommend you either purchase a pair of our cushioned socks with our footwear in your regular size, as they offer about 1/2 a size extra fitting, or you go 1/2 a size smaller than you typically wear.

Due to the nature of Greasy leather a layer of Dubbin may be required to achieve the pictured look.
Applying a suede protectant before wearing your footwear for the first time will help guard the surface. A suede brush can be used to remove dust and restore the nap after each use. Suede and Nubuck finishes should be kept away from large amounts of water due to its porous quality.

"They weren't kidding about the last being wide, I own a pair of shoes size UK 10 when I normally wear a size 9, so I thought getting a 9. 5 wont make much of a difference, but it is actually a roomier than what I expected. Right now I have to wear 2 pairs of socks to make up for the extra space. Next time it may be a good idea just to get my usual size. Still a good pair of boots though."

"It took me quite some time and a lot of thought to say goodbye to my favourite brand of many years (I won’t name names). But as one pair after another of theirs kept falling apart, I had to find a new favourite brand. I’ve now found it!!! I ordered the ‘Black Greasy 10 Eye Steel Toe Capped’ half a size larger so I can wear thick socks in them. They were very comfortable right from the start – ‘Ruckedigu, no blood in the shoe’. They felt as if they’d already been worn in from the very beginning. I ordered two tins of the matching “Dubbin” shoe cream straight away to look after them regularly. Because of the special surface of this leather, I’d be wary of using any other cream. After over a year of wear, the shoes still look as good as new. The soles are super sturdy. Even the last cold winter with plenty of snow, ice, water and road salt couldn’t do them any harm. I didn’t even get the usual salt stains on the leather. If I could, I’d give 10 out of 5 stars. Since then, I’ve been waiting for you to finally make another batch of the Black Greasy Steel Toe Dealer Boots. Why? Because my husband’s own brand isn’t what it used to be either. The soles simply fell off while he was walking. So. . . Please. . . We really must have a pair of your steel-toed Chelsea boots in size 10. 5, so that he too can finally walk the world in his favourite shoes, happy, comfortable and safe. "I ordered my perfect size and it fit much bigger than expected. Fortunately I need insoles so the extra space will be used. But I'd suggest measuring first, and perhaps sizing down. Boots are high quality and you can tell hand stitched. A lot of love went into these. Can't wait to feel the comfort with the inserts!"

Greasy leather needs to be fed with Dubbin wax, oil or grease for nourishment. Apply sparingly to avoid creating a dull appearance.
