Due to the nature of Gaucho leather used, each product may differ in finish and may require a layer of Dubbin wax to achieve the pictured look.

Applying a suede protectant before wearing your footwear for the first time will help guard the surface. A suede brush can be used to remove dust and restore the nap after each use. Suede and Nubuck finishes should be kept away from large amounts of water due to its porous quality.

"I haven't had a pair of monkey boots since I was a kid. I was stoked to see these oxblood monkey boots and thanks to the great build and sizing information, I bought a pair. I decided on size 9. 5 as I have wide feet (usually I'm a 9). These were my first (along with a pair of 11 hole gaucho boots) purchase from Solovair. Boots arrived in NZ within a couple of weeks of purchase and I was thrilled with the look, colour and quality. As they are high shine, they need a little breaking in to soften up but are by no means painful and I was wearing them out within a couple of days. Highly recommend and already planning some more purchases from here."

Excellent quality boots

"These boots are very well made. The leather feels high quality, the stitching is neat and precise, and the overall shape is elegant and well proportioned. The sizing is accurate and they fit comfortably. Please note that they arrive in a uniform brown colour. The distinctive rub-off effect only starts to appear after you begin cleaning, polishing and buffing the leather. This gradually brings out the darker and lighter tones and gives the boots more character. Overall, I am very pleased with the quality and appearance."

This is my second pair

"This is my second pair of solovair boots. I usually wear a womens 9 and purchased the equivalent of that size, and they run slightly big if the laces aren’t pulled super tight, but actually it’s perfect because I was planning on putting insoles in these boots, so it’s not noticeable. Comfy to walk in too."

Beautiful

"These boots are absolutely beautiful. I have the same pair in the black greasy leather and love them so I went ahead and ordered these when they were on clearance sale. There, of course, very stiff. Need to be broken in being the harder glossy leather. I do believe, however, that they will be fantastic for winter. I will try to wear them for short periods in the house each day to get ready for winter in a few months. They should be broken in by then. As far as sizing, I do feel like they run a tiny bit large. I thought about getting a 9 1/2 instead of my usual 10, but I didn’t want to go through the hassle of having to return if they didn’t fit correctly. Very happy with my purchase."

Well worth the price, as

"Well worth the price, as always. My 4th pair of Solovair in the last 3 years and they are all still going strong. Break in period lasted about 3 weeks and they feel great with the foam inserts. I especially appreciate the extra detail in the limited edition style. If the burgundy rub off is still available, they may be my next order but I would prefer the limited edition in a green. Beautiful work on a solid product."

"Très content de cette paire de solovair monkey boots. La couleur est géniale et plutôt facile à associer à une tenue. J’ai eu mal et eu une bonne ampoule le premier jour mais ensuite c’est devenu très confortable. Ne faites pas comme moi et évitez de faire trop de kilomètres la première fois avec une paire neuve. La qualité est parfaite, belles finitions sérieuses. Cette paire viens compléter mes boots 8 trous que j’ai depuis plusieurs années."

"I've wanted these boots since I was 8 years old and now at 33 I finally have them. Worth every penny! Ordered a half size up to put an insole in. These have been pretty much my daily boots since they arrived. I live in NYC so i walk a lot, even rode around on my bike with them and, man they were perfect.
