Applying a suede protectant before wearing your footwear for the first time will help guard the surface. A suede brush can be used to remove dust and restore the nap after each use. Suede and Nubuck finishes should be kept away from large amounts of water due to its porous quality.

Great boots

"What a fantastic colour the mahogany is great quality great service, am forever hopeful they will do them in the Astronaut boots."

My first real boots

"After searching long and hard for a boot that is built to last and to be cared for and repaired, I finally decided on Solovair. Having read that the first days or weeks will be uncomfortable while they adapt to your foot, I was worried that they would hurt or cause blisters. At first they were tight between the ball and the instep and after just 3 days of wearing them to and from work (switching to work boots for the day) they became very comfortable. Tightening the laces feels almost magical. I’m not sure if I bought the right boot for my foot though, as now they’ve loosened up and my foot is somewhat slipping forward and my toes are touching the front. I’ll give it some more time and go see a cobbler for advice. A different insole might just be the solution. All in all, I’m in love and receiving unsolicited compliments about them. I have sneakers in EU sizes 43 through 45. Maybe UK size 10 was better? Who knows…"

Q&A

For general maintenance, apply Solovair Renovating Cream or a good quality shoe polish using a dry cloth or soft brush for buffing.
