NPS heritage grain-calf brogue boots
"First off, thank you to Alexandre in support for advice on sizing. I took half a size down as advised from my regular (9. 5UK down to 9UK), and they fit perfectly and very comfortably. With a day and a half of wearing in at home, they were very comfortable on a two and a half hour round commute, airy and supportive to walk in with solid grip in wet conditions. Something I will note- the pull tabs on the back are a little delicately attached, and one ripped out on the second wearing. I'll get this repaired at some point, but additional reinforcement there might be desirable. In terms of shape, the toe box is very elegant but still easy to wear. There's a lot of room and my feet, a little on the wide side, are quite comfortable. I have loose joints, so the support from the boot shaft is appreciated too. I like the specifics in how the brogueing is handled, and the texture is nice, although obviously embossed on close inspection. I like the height and the sole construction, and the heel is workably low enough to add a bit of structure while not making me look even more egregiously tall. I think if there was this exact model in oxblood I'd probably get a second pair, although I don't really like the available shade of brown. These are my second pair of solovairs, and I like them very much- looking forward to further in the future."
